Cynthia Clay's article Making Sense of the New Blend was recently published in the Spring 2010 issue of Training Industry Quarterly.

Cynthia Clay Honored at the 2010 ISA (Association of Learning Providers) Annual Business Retreat

In March 2010, at the Annual Business Retreat for ISA, Cynthia Clay, President of NetSpeed Learning Solutions, won top honors as Outstanding Contributor of the Year for ISA. ISA (The Association of Learning Providers) is an industry organization composed of senior level executives in the learning and development field. Ms. Clay was honored by the association for her contributions in support of the organization’s learning and development programs. She currently serves on ISA’s Virtual Programming Committee to enhance the virtual learning programs offered to their members. NetSpeed Learning Solutions hosted and produced five ISA webinars in the past year that were highly rated by ISA members and donated NetSpeed Fast Tracks for ISA’s internal use.

Ms. Clay is the author of Great Webinars: how to create interactive learning that is captivating, informative and fun. As a leader in the community she is actively involved in several professional associations including ISA, the American Society for Training & Development, Women Presidents Organization, Transition US, and Women’s Business Exchange.

"Webinars are offered by people for people... They ... were eager to applaud Cynthia Clay, president of Netspeed Learning Solutions. She was as excited at the beginning as she was at the end. GAO Awards Five-Year Contract to NetSpeed Leadership for Training Workshops

NetSpeed Learning Solutions announced that it has been awarded a five-year contract to provide a series of workshops on various leadership and organizational development topics to the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO). The contract, involving its NetSpeed Leadership program, also includes the training of internal trainers within GAO.

Avatars - Beyond Virtual Reality

Avatars most frequently are used in virtual worlds such as Second Life, but they also can be used to "people" technology such as Seattle-based NetSpeed Leadership's virtual platform that uses avatars to support podcasts about workplace issues... Clay and consultant partner Dan Kennedy both have avatars that speak during NetSpeed’s podcasts. "Their purpose is to make the podspot a bit more attention getting, since many of us need that visual stimulation," says Clay.
